What we collect.
And what we don't.
The short version. We do not profile visitors. We do not sell or share any data with advertisers. Every tracker on this site is opt-in, organised into four categories. Three are denied by default; one ("essential") is always on and never sets a cookie that leaves your browser. You can change your mind anytime via the link in the footer.
The four categories
Essential — always on. Stores your consent choice in localStorage (key kawari-consent, 12-month lifetime) so the banner doesn't reappear on every page. No third-party request. No data leaves your browser.
Functional — Calendly inline booking widget on /contact and the destination of every "Book a call" button. When enabled, the widget loads from assets.calendly.com and Calendly may set functional cookies on its own domain (booking session, timezone). When disabled, the widget is replaced with a link that opens Calendly in a new tab — no cookies on kawari.digital itself. What Calendly collects when you book a call: your name, email, the time slot, and any context you type into the booking form. This data is governed by Calendly's own privacy notice and is processed by Calendly LLC.
Analytics — when enabled, we measure page views, scroll depth, and aggregated session signals to understand what's working on the site. Two tools may run in this category:
- Google Analytics 4 — page views, referrals, event counts. IP addresses are truncated; we do not enable any advertising features on the property.
- Microsoft Clarity — anonymised session replay, heatmaps, scroll maps. Clarity automatically masks sensitive form fields and personal data.
Marketing — when enabled, we measure the effectiveness of any LinkedIn campaigns we run by loading the LinkedIn Insight Tag. This lets LinkedIn attribute a visit on this site to an ad you saw on LinkedIn. No retargeting audiences are built from this site today.
How we deliver these trackers
All third-party tags are loaded through Google Tag Manager (container GTM-K3L6BW3D) under Consent Mode v2 (advanced implementation). The default state pushed before GTM loads is all denied; only after you toggle a category and save does the corresponding tag receive permission to fire. GTM itself doesn't collect personal data — it is the orchestrator that lets us add or remove tags without redeploying the site.
Two additional Consent Mode signals are enabled site-wide: ads_data_redaction (when ad consent is denied, Google's ad tags send cookieless conversion pings instead of identifiable data) and url_passthrough (campaign click IDs like gclid can be carried in URL parameters across pages even when analytics cookies are denied, so attribution still works without tracking you). Neither sets a cookie on its own.
The GTM bootstrap script loads on first page view from googletagmanager.com. This transfers your IP address to Google's CDN as part of the HTTP request (unavoidable for any third-party CDN). No cookies are set by the bootstrap alone.
What we use to remember your choice
Your accept-or-decline decision is stored in localStorage under the key kawari-consent, with a 12-month lifetime. This is not a cookie — it is a key-value pair stored by your browser on your device. We never read it from a server. To clear it, use your browser's site-data tools or .
Hosting and logs
This site is served via Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare keeps standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested path) for the purposes of security and infrastructure health, retained per their privacy policy. We do not maintain a separate access log or analytics database.
Fonts
Typefaces (Fraunces and Geist) are loaded from Google Fonts. Per Google's documentation, Google Fonts does not set cookies. Loading a font does transfer your IP address to Google's CDN as part of the request — this is unavoidable for any web font served by a third-party CDN.
When you email or book us
If you write to hello@kawari.digital or book a call, we will keep what you wrote for as long as our conversation is active, plus the retention required by our accounting and contractual obligations.
